Fred Sturm

Fred Sturm joined Mackenzie in 1981 and is Executive Vice President and Chief Global Investment Strategist. He has established a reputation as one of the country’s leading investors in natural resource-based companies. In addition to the Canadian mutual funds and private accounts he manages for Mackenzie, Fred also manages the Ivy Global Natural Resources Fund in the US for Waddell & Reed Ivy Investment Company. In 2004, Fred was named Fund Manager of the Year (Canadian Investment Awards).

Fred earned a BComm, Finance from the University of Toronto and holds the CFA designation.
