Streamlining our Lineup so you can Better Serve Clients

With Mackenzie’s prospectus renewal that took place on September 29, 2017, we included initiatives to streamline our product line up to make it easier for you to work with your clients.

The changes described below involve soft-capping funds in Series G and Series SI plus the Mackenzie Ivy International Equity Fund.

No action is required from you.

The changes will provide one or more of the following benefits:

  • Simplify our fund line-up
  • Enhance your ability to navigate Mackenzie’s product shelf
  • Improve your experience with Mackenzie Investments

We’re making these changes because we’ve heard your feedback about the challenges of today’s competitive business and regulatory environment.

Your clients may be impacted in one or more of the following soft-capping changes.

Series Soft Capping – Series G

  • Series G funds are for retail investors in Group Plans – there are currently 28 funds available in Series G. (See table below)
  • The series was used before Mackenzie introduced trailer fee rebates as a method of providing reduced trailer fees.
  • All funds of the series will be soft-capped at 4:00 pm Eastern Time on Friday, December 8, 2017.
  • After that deadline, existing investors in these funds can continue making contributions (by lump sum or systematic) and switches.
  • For investors looking to make new purchases into these funds, Series A units remain available.
    •  For firms that have a negotiated trailer fee agreement with Mackenzie Investments, you may also elect to offer your clients a reduced trailer fee.
