What supports are available in Canada for individuals with disabilities. As an advisor, you will learn how to assist them in navigating various government benefits and their impacts on lifestyle and tax planning. You will gain insight into the details and eligibility criteria of various tax relief options for individuals with disabilities and their dependents, including the Federal Disability Tax Credit, Lifetime Disability Assistance Payment, and the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP)
You will also learn strategies for tax and estate planning specific to the needs of individuals with disabilities, including tax-deferred transfers, discretionary (Henson) Trusts and Qualified Disability Trusts.
Credits are issued on a per participant basis. Individual registration is required. To earn CE credits, you must watch the entire webcast, including the Q&A session and take the quiz.
