About our program


Each year Mackenzie welcomes over 70 interns. Our interns bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and a deep curiosity to learn.

Learning and networking opportunities

We’re invested in creating a supportive community for our interns. Our summer social event brings together interns, employees, and leadership to celebrate collective achievements. Additionally, we organize learning sessions with guest speakers and intern socials that offer opportunities for learning and connecting.

What makes our program unique?

Two-year full time rotational program

New graduates will complete four department rotations over a two-year period. Gaining work skills and insights thorough our Investment Management, Operations and Tech & Delivering program paths.

Leadership development

Graduates will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and contribute to various project initiatives that support our business strategies.

  • Research, analyze, prepare and present recommendations to senior management.
  • Develop skills in technology, operations and portfolio management.

Program streams

  • Investment Management Stream | Toronto (MI)

    Explore the world of investments by working with:

    • The Fixed Income Team: Gain an understanding of bond markets and portfolio management.
    • Equity Teams: Dive into stock analysis and equity research.
  • Technology and Delivery Stream | Winnipeg & Toronto (IGM)

    You’ll move through the following teams:

    • Architecture and Analysis Teams: Understand Enterprise and applications framework.
    • Project Management Teams: Participate in program and project delivery.
    • Business Management Teams: Learn about operational efficiency.
    • Technology and Delivery Teams: Dive into technology solutions within Core Technology and Digital teams; learn how to support applications in production.
    • Data Analyst and AI Teams: Analyze data for informed decision-making; learn business applications of Gen AI tools.
    • IT Risk and Cybersecurity Teams: Get involved in protecting our business from cyber threats.
  • Operations Management Stream | Winnipeg & Toronto (IGM)

    Explore the operational side of our business within:

    • Asset Management Operations: Gain insights into optimizing asset lifecycles and operational efficiencies.
    • Client Service Operations: Develop a knowledge base of financial services.
